Mental health is commonly regarded as the business of a select few sufferers of "mental illness". Yet look, only, at a time of war - whether between nations, or between feuding neighbours.

Survivors of war often report of how a kind of "collective insanity" can overcome whole populations.

Either way, it's highly familiar to many of us how rapidly anger can take hold can cause a descent destructive aggression and hatred. And as in so-called "passive aggression", some of the most nasty anger can surface without necessary leading directly to overt violence.
