Stress as "Scriptwriter" and "Story Library"

Our stress biology needn’t have the last word: we can slip its knots and make our escape, by returning to who we really are. As audacious as the heart, we can make our victory dash and release ourselves from stress’s gulag.

In the film The Matrix , one quote applies in the context of stress biology. “There’s something wrong with the world,” Morpheus tells Neo. “You don’t know what it is, but it’s there, like a splinter in your mind...”

Very much a “splinter” in real life is, of course, stress - and, more particularly, forces like fear that get under our skin and bring wholesale changes to our mind and personality.

To walk free from stress is to win our freedom from merciless meddlers like fear and anger. The sweet spot of real , creative existence comes from having the courage to resist the bullying of fear ; the calm to cool anger’s blasts; and the contentment to free ourselves from the skittish lifts, one minute, and the downward yanks, the next, of c. desire , and gloom , respectively.

That’s how we can get back to being sailors on the sea of joy, love and discovery.
